{"id":921,"date":"2020-12-09T09:56:51","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T08:56:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/training\/"},"modified":"2021-04-23T10:53:45","modified_gmt":"2021-04-23T08:53:45","slug":"training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/en\/training\/","title":{"rendered":"Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LUNG O<sub>2<\/sub> organizes local training courses dedicated to precision medicine in lung diseases and facilitates\/encourages the attendance of international courses.<\/p>\n<p>LUNG O<sub>2<\/sub> focuses on attraction and education of students and also on new training tasks emerged from PM requirements: advanced practice nurses and patients experts<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Medical and science students<\/h2>\n<p>Each year, a master class based on cluster\u2019s fields of competence (asthma, transplantation, infection or cancer) will be organized in Nantes for a week by Cluster\u2019s specialists, to train international postgraduate students and help them to become experts in an ideal interdisciplinary environment (interventional radiology, pathology, pulmonology, oncology, molecular biology, clinical and translational research, air pollution, numeric tools and artificial intelligence). This master class will be designed in accordance to NUN training programs. It will foster attraction of European students to pursue their fellowships or post-doctoral studies in Nantes.<\/p>\n<p>In mirror, LUNG O<sub>2<\/sub> will organize a two days summer school each year, which will give opportunities for Nantes students to get trained by international specialists of PM in lung diseases. It will create a networking opportunity for LUNG O<sub>2<\/sub> students in order to consider international fellowships and post-doctoral positions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Next Summer school : July 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2021 (virtual event)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Undergraduate medical and pharmacy students will be promoted to integrate a laboratory for a master degree valorized by at least one scientific publication, and to pursue a PhD training once qualified (MD-PhD cursus).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Formation-e-learning-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"782\" height=\"521\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Advanced Practice Nurses<\/h2>\n<p>In 2018, the University of Nantes, with the CHU of Nantes, set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/medecine.univ-nantes.fr\/formation-initiale\/diplome-d-etat-d-infirmier-en-pratique-avancee-ipa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Nursing Diploma in Advanced Practice<\/a> \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chu-nantes.fr\/cp-le-chu-et-l-universite-de-nantes-accredites-pour-la-formation-des-infirmiers-en-pratique-avancee-un-nouveau-metier-en-faveur-de-l-accessibilite-aux-soins-primaires-et-du-suivi-des-patients-chroniques\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(coordinators N. Alglave and J. Bennouna<\/a>)<br \/>\nThe Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) will play a key role in the future and will be able to organize research and the development of precision medicine throughout the territory, manage their own research programs within the framework of topics related to LUNG O<sub>2<\/sub>, thus constituting a cornerstone of the cluster.<\/p>\n<p>An excellence pathway for APN will be proposed in Lung O<sub>2<\/sub> in accordance to the Department of Training Institute (DTI) of the Nantes Hospital and will include :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A two days annual symposium in Nantes for APN with sessions focusing on respiratory diseases, the next one is scheduled for January 2021.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>E-learning sessions for lung transplantation, lung cancer, malignant mesothelioma, infection, severe asthma, and emerging axis including cystic fibrosis and COPD, set up by an interdisciplinary team of teachers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Engineering<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Formation-Ingenieur-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"830\" height=\"553\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Centrale Nantes, in partnership with Nantes hospital, the Gustave Eiffel University and Air Pays de la Loire, has set up &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ec-nantes.fr\/les-programmes\/les-options-de-2e-et-3e-annees\/environnement-mobilite-sante\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Environment Mobility Health<\/a>&#8221; project specialization.<\/p>\n<p>The option is fully in accordance with the following strategic objectives at Centrale Nantes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>To deliver project-based teaching,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To set up innovative and engaging methods of learning for our students,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To firmly anchor health within our programs alongside our main partner: Nantes University Hospital,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To focus on environmental impact and ecological transition within<em> the curriculum.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the project is to develop a model of an Android mobile application which allows the user to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>To define a route in the Nantes M\u00e9tropole area,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To select transport mode (pedestrian, bicycle, car, public transport),<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To calculate or estimate the user&#8217;s environmental exposure on the journey,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>To receive recommendations based on his\/her profile and the probability of impact on his\/her health of said environmental exposure.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project specialization will be open to a maximum of 12 students, dedicated to this project from September 2020 to March 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Patients<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Formation-Patient-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"799\" height=\"647\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A training program for people with respiratory diseases will be implemented in order to develop pedagogical skills. These adults will become &#8220;expert patients&#8221; in following therapeutic education programs targeting respiratory diseases including lung cancer in a PM \/ 4P medicine perspective.<\/p>\n<p>This training program will be linked to the two days summer school with dedicated workshops designed with the main relevant patient associations support. Caregivers may be included in this program.
