{"id":911,"date":"2020-12-09T09:39:04","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T08:39:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/project-hap%c2%b2\/"},"modified":"2021-01-20T16:59:58","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T15:59:58","slug":"project-hap%c2%b2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/en\/project-hap%c2%b2\/","title":{"rendered":"HAP\u00b2 Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lungo2.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/HAP2-min.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"155\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/hap2-project.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HAP<sup>2<\/sup><\/a>&#8221; (Host-targeted Approaches for the Prevention and the treatment of Hospital-Acquired Pneumonia), coordinated by Pr Antoine Roquilly, aims to develop stratified host-directed drugs and biomarkers to enhance the prevention and the treatment of hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) and develop precision medicine in infectious diseases.<\/p>\n<p>HAP is an infectious disease of major concern in the world, and the most frequent cause of hospital-acquired infections with 500,000 episodes being treated every year in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the development of European recommendations, the incidence remains high, with dramatic medical consequences: existing therapies and preventive measures do not result in the expected favorable outcome (clinical cure and survival) for 30% of patients. HAPs are moreover the main cause of antibiotic consumption in European hospitals and are increasingly induced by drug-resistant pathogens.
